A 23-year-old from Southampton received a jail term of 27 weeks, deferred for 12 months, after admitting to reckless operation of a vehicle.

In addition, the judge issued a one-year license suspension and mandated unpaid work along with a behavioral course.

As stated by authorities, the recording was filmed at an unauthorized automobile gathering in the city on 28 December 2024, showing the driver operating a pink BMW.

A police sergeant commented: “Residents, motorists and our roads policing teams have had enough with these crowds of motorists thoughtlessly taking over streets and parking areas and we refuse to accept it.”

The officer continued: “They are not only a complete nuisance, but they also place themselves and innocent bystanders at risk of serious injury.”

He finished: “Our efforts will persist to prosecute these individuals and I hope these recent cases serve as a warning: you won’t get away with it.”
