Six Arrested After 12 Million Euro Heist on Precious Metals Facility in the French Republic

Six armed perpetrators carrying assault rifles and handguns used explosive devices to break into a gold treatment facility located in Lyon, slightly injuring five employees during what appears to be the latest high-profile broad daylight robbery to hit France.

The audacious robbery took place on the afternoon of Thursday, with police forces quickly arresting the suspected perpetrators and retrieving the loot assessed at around €12 million (10.5 million pounds), according to officials.

Five staff members of the gold refining company were slightly hurt from the blast, and three individuals were transported to hospital for examination, according to regional authorities. Twenty-eight workers were at the location when the perpetrators raided.
